Angusta

The first of our projects with the Brilliant Northern Block Type Foundy, we were tasked with supporting Donna with the marketing materials to launch the font, Angusta, a highly versatile and elegant display serif type family that draws inspiration from the American wood type of the 19th century. Our work references the origins/idea behind its appearance, and the meaning in the name, to create a vibrant solution showing the font in situ; and highlights the drawing skills that make this such a beautiful piece of work by Tasos, their newly employed Greek type designer. We flexed it across multiple applications and audiences to test the personality and quality of the face, and it stands up every time.
