The 2020 version personal project documenting the 2010 demolition of the Owen Luder Partnership’s Trinity Square Shopping Centre in Gateshead. Photography was taken from the same ten places, at the same time of day, every day, for sixty days, revealing piece by piece the inner structure that shaped this striking and significant piece of regional history. Why do this? Because this place mattered to me. From the weekly Wednesday shop as a young lad to later inspiring record sleeve designs, art, even contemporary dance performances, it was always there and I was always inspired by it, perhaps even fascinated by it. The Car Park meant Gateshead to me, and many more, well, more than any angel ever will.
